Dexter Ball Obituary

Services for Dexter "Dec" Ball, age 43 of Hobson City will be Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Rocky Mount Baptist Church with the Rev. Stevie Houston officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery with Anniston Funeral Services in charge. The body will be at the church one hour prior to services. Mr. Ball died on July 6, 2010 at RMC. Survivors include; his children, DeAngelo Bailey; Dexter Ball, Ashley Ball, Domanic Malone, Rishy Ball, and Demarcus Ball; his parents, O'Mildred Ball Jr. and Geneva Welch; his siblings, Wanda (the late Lonnie) VelHousen; Sharon (Robert) Scott; Chris Ball; Angela (Mark) Montgomery; and Sharonda Herren; grandmother; Martha Ball; grandson Elijah Malone; special friend; Doretta Hawkins and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was a Hobson City native and member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church and a graduate of Oxford High School and worked as a carpenter and contractor most of his life. To the family of Dexter Ball: I am so sorry for your loss. Dexter and I graduated from Oxford High School together. I can remember Dexter's smile and demeanor.
