Glenn Cheatwood

Mr. Glenn Cheatwood, age 68 of Delta, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at his home. There are no services scheduled at this time. Mr. Cheatwood was born in Anniston, and was a lifelong resident of Delta. Following his graduation from Lineville High School, he briefly worked for Waffle House as a cook, and drove a gas truck. In 1984 along with his father, they opened the A&G Dairy Barn restaurant in Hollis Crossroads, serving hamburgers, hot dogs, and other delicious menu items. He owned the restaurant for 20 years before retiring. Mr. Cheatwood was an avid collector of Indian Artifacts, Auburn Football, and was a talented musician. He was the lead singer and songwriter for a local band named "Outkast" or "Bama Bash". They played Southern Rock, and played all over local and surrounding counties. He and his family rode with Buster Miles to Auburn Football games when his children were younger as well. Mr. Cheatwood had an amazing sense of humor, was kind, giving and treated others with kindness. He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. Cheatwood is survived by two daughters: Nicole Campbell (Thomas) of Woodland and Karlee Cheatwood of Lineville; three sons: Adam Cheatwood (Sommer) and Jodie Cheatwood, both of Delta, and Dillon Cheatwood (Erica) of Lineville; 8 grandchildren: Brodee, Baylee, Gracee, Peyton, Kip, Jase, Aubree, and Leelan; one brother, Michael Cheatwood (Evelyn) of Heflin, plus other extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents: Allen Deese and Elsie Katherine Hollie Cheatwood; and one sister, Judy Ann Cheatwood.
