Christopher Clyde Cheatwood, 63, of Paden, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on October 16, 2025. Chris was born on March 17, 1962, in Prague, Oklahoma. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Jana Cheatwood of Paden, five sons Josh Cheatwood and wife Alisha of Prague, Tyler Cheatwood and wife Cheyenne of Paden, Kyle Cheatwood and partner Heather of Paden, Trevor Cheatwood and wife Dakota of Paden,Tanner Cheatwood and wife Lynnzey of Prague Chris cherished his grandchildren Bryce, Easton, Hayden, Brooklyn, Brantley, Cade, Paisley, Treyton, Hadlee, Hailee (Bean), Stetsyn, Dawsyn, Bowyn Cheatwood, and Austyn and Ashlyn White-Richards. He is also survived by his sister Kathy and husband David Brown of Paden, and brother Carl Cheatwood of Paden. Chris was preceded in death by his parents Bo and Vella Cheatwood, infant brother Wendell Cheatwood, mother and father-in-law Morris and Katie Brown, brother-in-law Kent Brown, niece Marissa Mayfield, and nephew Dustin Brown. Chris graduated from Paden High School in 1980 and dedicated 40 years to Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative. He loved spending time at the lake camping, fishing, and tubing with family and friends. He and his sons shared many memorable experiences, including sinking their boat noodling in Lake Eufaula and getting covered in gasoline while rescuing it, deer hunting in the Sandhills of Western Oklahoma, and pheasant and quail hunting. Chris adored his grandchildren and was always ready for any adventure with them, whether fishing, hunting, checking cows, or attending church. He was a devoted member of Burnett Mission Holiness Church, where he inspired many with his powerful voice and had a special place in his heart for the youth. Known for loving deeply and helping anyone in need, Chris was the glue that held his family together. He was loved by many and leaves a void that can never be filled. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
