Jack Clinkenbeard Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Danekas Funeral Chapel & Crematory - Colville on Mar. 30, 2026.
With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and faithful servant of God, who went home to be with the Lord at the age of 92. A funeral service honoring the life of Jack T. Clinkenbeard will take place on April 2, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at Grace Bible Church/851 South Miner Street in Colville.

Jack Truitt Clinkenbeard was born on October 12, 1933 to Gladys Marsh Clinkenbeard and Fletcher Clinkenbeard in Prague, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of seven children. Jack earned his four-year degree in Forestry from Oklahoma State University, where he also participated in ROTC, laying the foundation for a life of service. Jack faithfully served his country for eight years in the United States Army, demonstrating the same dedication, discipline and integrity that characterized every aspect of his life. After college, Jack moved to Montana to serve with the Forest Service, where he met his future wife, Cora Dorayne ("Dory") Christensen. Jack shared many cherished years of marriage with his beloved wife, Dory, who lovingly went before him in the Lord. In 1967, the family moved to Colville, Washington, where they joyfully built their life together and remained until the Lord called him home. Jack held a deep love and connection to Oklahoma and his family there, cherishing every member of his extended family and holding them close in his heart.

Jack found joy in gardening and working in the woods, and he was deeply devoted to his faith, regularly attending church and spending time in his Bible and daily devotionals. Jack lived a life rooted in unwavering faith, guided by love for God and a quiet strength that shaped all who knew him. His days were marked by prayer, kindness and a steadfast commitment to living out Christian values. He found great joy in sharing his faith, offering encouragement, and being a source of wisdom and peace to his family and community.

Above all, Jack cherished his family. He was a loving and devoted presence, always placing others before himself. His legacy lives on in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who carry forward the values he so faithfully modeled – love, humility, integrity and trust in God. Jack will be remembered for his gentile spirit, his steady guidance and the deep love he showed so freely. Though he will be dearly missed, his family finds comfort in knowing he is at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior.

"Well done, good and faithful servant" - Matthew 23:23.

Jack is lovingly survived by his family, who were the greatest blessing of his life. He leaves behind children Lisa/Terry Leake; their child Baileigh/Colton Thompson; grandchildren Brynnleigh and Malia; Jacqueline Bircher/Scott Schmeling; children Brianne Henderson and Tyler Henderson; grandchildren Zaidence Zier, Kirya Zier, Riggins Jack Henderson and Boyd Dean Henderson; Lori Myers; children Megan/Trevor Mick (Tristan and Hailey) and Ryan/Kim Clinkenbeard (Amara and Abigail); Gaye Gill; children Mitchell/Elizabeth Hammons (Lorelai); Derrik Hammons; Amber/Justin Young.
