Ruth Cheatwood, born Korbel, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2025, at the age of 71. She was born on July 5, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio.
Ruth was a loving wife to her husband, Randy Cheatwood, and a devoted mother to her daughter, Christy Dalton. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Randy Tackett and Mackenzie (Robert) Nietzel, and she was especially proud of her great-grandson, Teddy Nietzel. Ruth shared a close bond with her two brothers, Paul (Sherry) Korbel and Gary Korbel.
Throughout her life, Ruth enjoyed traveling and cherished the moments spent with her family, including her beloved dog, Nugget. She took great pride in her children and grandchildren, celebrating their accomplishments and supporting them in all their endeavors.
Ruth's memory will be cherished by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Paul Harold Korbel; her mother, Ruth Korbel; her son, Nick Dalton; her sister, Carol Korbel; and her sister-in-law, Diana Korbel. Ruth’s legacy will live on through her family and the countless memories they created together.
