Hal Doss Obituary

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 pm Thursday at Forestlawn Cemetery for Hal "Papa" Doss, age 84 of Crane Hill, formerly Anniston, Alabama, who entered into rest on Saturday, February 25. Rev. David Little will officiate and burial will take place at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Mr. Doss will be remembered as a devoted Christian, he loved his church, taught Sunday School, sang in the choir, led singing, sang in a quartet, played trumpet and was an excellent bowler. He was a little stubborn, but loved his family dearly, and worked hard to provide them with any and everything they needed. He loved fishing and living on the lake, he enjoyed Alabama football and Braves Baseball. He adored his grandchildren, he was very loved by his family, and will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents: Charles and Beulah Doss, Sister Dora Lou Odell, Brothers Charles and William Doss. He is survived by son Brad (Connie) Doss, daughter, Jan (Kevin) Irvine, Grandchildren Cameron (Jamie), Darcel (Robbie), Joshua (Kaylie), Brandon, Nathan (Alana), 9 Great Grandchildren and Brother Gene Doss. Special thanks to the staff of Cullman Regional Hospital.
