John Beavers Obituary

Funeral Services for John Arthur Beavers will be 3:00 pm July 15, 2023 at First Missionary Baptist Church of Anniston with Reverend Little, Pastor and Reverend David Burnett, Eulogist. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, July 14, 2023, from 1:00-5:00 pm at Goodson Funeral Home. John Arthur Beavers was born April 15, 1956 to the parentage of the late Mr. John Arthur Scales and Mrs. Mary Virginia Beavers of Talladega, Alabama. He was a member of Seventeenth Street Baptist Church, and he accepted Christ at an early age. John was educated through the Anniston City School System, and he was a member of Anniston High School graduate class of 1975. On September 11, 1978, John and Patsy were united in Holy matrimony and to this union three daughters were born, LaToya, LaChica and Candice. John and Patsy were happily married for 44 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His family meant the world to him. John, affectionally known as 'Lil Beave,' 'Junior' and 'Beavers 'and he was a joy to everyone around him and he never met a stranger. He loved to dance, listen to music, cook and watch sports. He was a die-hard Alabama and Los Angeles Lakers fan. John was employed by BAE and after many years of employment, he enjoyed being a retiree. On July 5, 2023 he entered eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Andrew and Mrs. Mary Virginia Beavers, and Arthur Scales. His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the hearts of; his wife, Patsy Beavers, his daughters; LaToya Parker and LaChica Beavers of Anniston, AL and Candice Woods of Jacksonville, AL; ten grandchildren, Antonio Beavers, Tyrique Whitfield, Kaleb Whitfield, Nasir Fluker, Jaden Fluker, Malik Whitfield, Malaysia Woods, Jacauri Whitfield, Journee' Woods, Paryss Fluker; six great-grandchildren, Laila, Cali, Ava, Braelyn, Armani, and Bronx; five sisters, Frances (Andre) Jackson, Brenda (Elmer) Buard, Patricia Beavers, Carolyn (Stacey) Clay, and Cheryl Duncan, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who loved him.
