I grew to be very fond of Mary in church several years ago. Mary friendship was special to me, we were in a play at church this is when our friendship started. When I think about the times we spent together, the best memories are those when we did nothing special. We simply talked, walked, lived.

To The Duncan / Sullivan Family: Condolences to the families during this time of grief and sorrow. Mary was a beautiful, gentle soul who had love in her heart for all those she met. Mary was my classmate (1970). When she left a part of my oral history left with her, each classmate carries a memory of that person that only they can tell. Mary may God bless you and welcome home, thy good and faithful servant. The clouds have run out of rain there is nothing but sunshine on the skyline. Take your rest from this earthly travel and enjoy your journey into paradise.

The family has my deepest sympathy. I met Mary when her sister, Jewel was married to my next door neighbor and friend, Robert Burt. We grew up in the same church which was Friendship Baptist Church. She always put God first even when she was in pain she talked about the goodness of God. RIHP Mary you will be missed.
