Abraham Edwards Obituary
Neptune - Abraham Edwards Jr., 71, of Neptune, passed away on January 15, 2019 at Gateway Care Center in Eatontown.
Abraham, affectionately known as "Big John", "Big Man" and "Junior", was born in Moultrie, Georgia to Abraham Edwards Sr. and Carrie B Lambert. He spent his childhood in Moultrie where he attended public school. He later moved to Monmouth County, New Jersey.
Abraham was a forklift driver with Anchor Glass in Cliffwood, NJ for more than 25 years. He was also a driver for Guiding Light Adult Rehabilitation in Neptune, NJ. Abraham will be remembered for his love of people. He loved socializing and talking to people. Whether he was on his cell phone or engaging individuals in person, he loved to talk and interact with others. His laugh was infectious.
Abraham will be fondly remembered by his children, grandchildren, sisters Margaret Williams, Catherine Collins, Christine Hill, Mary Cole, Yvonne Lambert, all of South Carolina; brothers Tommy Lambert (North Carolina), Craig Lambert (South Carolina) and Donald Samuels (Michigan); extended family members and friends.
At his request, a viewing will take place at 12pm followed immediately by a funeral service at 1pm on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at Jackson Funeral Home, 242 Neptune Boulevard, Neptune, New Jersey.

Thank you for being my friend. I learned so much from you. You were always there to listen and give advice to all who sought you out at Gateway. Always a smiling face and a booming laugh.I know Rasheedah misses you a lot too. She seems so lost without you. Remember our conversation about time and heaven. I'll be waiting. My condolences to the family in their grief. Although you are gone physically, I know you are with us all in spirit. God bless you for all you did.
