AJ Heagney Obituary
AGE: 23 • Rumson
AJ (Alexander Joseph) Heagney, 23, passed away on August 6, 2016. AJ will be forever remembered for his infectious smile, contagious laugh, and the ability to touch the lives of everyone around him. AJ had a passion for nature, snowboarding, photography, music and he loved to dance. He cared deeply for his family and friends and shared a level of kindness, compassion, and empathy for others that makes the world a better place. Funny, athletic, tender-hearted, energetic, and original was AJ. His sweet yet brave and strong spirit will carry-on through all who loved him.
AJ is survived by his mother, Leigh Roberto Heagney, and his twin sister, Kailee Ann Heagney. He also leaves loving grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
A memorial celebration of AJ's life will be held AT 10 A.M. on Thursday, August 11th at the Tower Hill Presbyterian Church, Harding Rd, Red Bank. The family requests that no flowers be sent. Instead they would appreciate a donation in AJ's memory to a charity of your choice.

I'm the mom who talks to much Aj was always outside talking to me and my husband Brian when Rebecca had friends over, outside on the deck at night always was so polite and one of the best friends my daughter had by her side when they were young, I'm so sorry my heart hurts for his mother and his amazingly talented and compassionate sister who was a great friend to Rebecca. I won't forget the day I drove to drop off Rebecca the first night, I never seen her come home with a smile on her heart

I remember AJ coming into the Rumson Video store almost everyday as a kid and he was even there on the last day I left. He kept in touch over the years and even supported me by showing up at some film events or comedy shows that I have hosted. I knew him for a long time and he was always a great guy and had such a wonderful family.
