July 30, 2016

My warmest and heartfelt condolences. I am very sorry for your loss Dorothy and Vernon. Al and Vernon were my best friends in High School. I have so many wonderful memories of our times together playing pick up football on the lawn by your parents house, endless summer days playing baseball at the Herbertsville School, swimming in the pond near Rehak's store, skating on "rubber ice" in the swamp and ocassionally hocky on the pond which didn't freeze hard often. Then there were the endless trips in the Chevy (or Pontiac - I can't remember) when I sat in the middle protected by my bigger friends. And all the time playing softball on the Herbertsville Fire Department Team. Then there was the Point Pleasant Beach High School Baseball Team that we had so much fun (and work) practicing and playing. These are memories and experiences that will always be an important part of who I am and what I have become - treasures than I will always cherish. With love and affection, George
