AGE: 102 COLTS NECK
Alfred Rulffes, 102, of Colts Neck, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2009 in Colts Neck, NJ. Al was born on May 1, 1906 in Long Island City, N.Y., the son of the late Henry and Mary Rulffes. He was a member of the Colts Senior Citizens Club. Prior to his retirement in 1971, he was employed as a Bakery Supervisor at the Sunshine Biscuit Company for 50 years.
Al was the husband of the late Eva Rulffes who died November 28, 2002. He is survived by his son, Alfred H. Rulffes and his wife Nancy of Ballston Lake, New York, and his daughter Mary Chambers and her husband Edward of Clifton Park, New York; his grandchildren, Donna Valente, Cindy Rulffes, Richard Rulffes, Edward Chambers, and Susan Chambers, and his great grandchildren, Anthony, Alexandra, Michael, Nicholas, Ashley, Benjamin, Brian and Kyle.
A visitation and prayer will be offered from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Holmdel Funeral Home 26 South Holmdel Road, Holmdel. The interment will then follow at the Pinelawn Memorial Park, Pinelawn, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
