Alice Nelson

Singer Island, FL - Alice Nelson, of Freehold, NJ, Sea Girt NJ, and Singer Island Fla., passed away peacefully on May 20, 2018. She was born on September 15, 1920 in Cranbury, NJ. She was the daughter of the late John and Emma Martin of Plainsboro, NJ.

Alice was the owner and operator, with her husband Charles Nelson, of Happy Time Day Camp for over forty years. Alice was the wife of Charles Nelson and after his passing was married to Richard Barr of Singer Island, Fla.

Alice is survived by her daughters Lynne Nelson Smith and her husband Bill of Singer Island Fla, Judith Nelson Graceffa and her husband John of Waltham, MA, her two sons Charles Nelson of Hackettstown, NJ, and Thomas Nelson of Berkeley CA. Alice leaves behind her seven cherished grandchildren, Matt Ollwerther, Meghan Conn, Charles Nelson, John T Graceffa, Christopher Graceffa, Michael Graceffa and Stephanie Nelson, and her five great grandchildren Dylan and Olivia, Rylan, Jack and Ben. She also leaves behind her devoted care giver Winsome Taylor.
