Anthony G. Rescigno, Sr.

AGE: 82 • Oceanport

Anthony G. Rescigno, Sr. age 82 of Oceanport, passed away Friday, April 18, 2014 at Kimball Medical Center in Lakewood. Mr. Rescigno was born in Bronx, NY and had lived in Long Branch before moving to Oceanport in 1971. He was a retired member of Monmouth County Carpenters Local 2250. He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean War.

He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Rescigno and Virginia Caso Rescigno, his brothers and sisters, Joseph and John Rescigno, Gloria Rescigno, and Katherine Beig. He is survived by his former wife, Carol Thomas; his children and their spouses: Colleen and Martin Middough, Oceanport; Anthony and Kerry Rescigno, Mark and Laura Rescigno, Monmouth Beach; John Rescigno, Oceanport; Jeffrey and Brenda Rescigno, Sedona, AZ. He is survived by 11 grandchildren: Brittany, Chas, Alena, Sarah, Jack, Carol, Brenna, Michael, Daniel, Olivia and Christian; his sisters and brother; Josephine Paglia, Anna Strollo, Mary Rescigno, Virginia Herr, Carol Terracina, George Rescigno and Elizabeth Damiano.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 25, from 6:00-9:00pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue (corner of Third Avenue), Long Branch. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 10:00am at the Star of the Sea Church in Long Branch. Inninchement will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport. I am deeply sorry to hear about the loss of your father and ex-husband. He was always so much fun to be around and full of laughter.
