ANTHONY L. "TONY" VERONE, SR.
AGE: 78 TOMS RIVER
Anthony L. "Tony" Verone Sr., 78, of Toms River, passed away Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Newark, he lived in Wanaque, N.J. before moving to Toms River in 1965. Tony was a self employed Truck Driver who loved playing golf. He was a 100% disabled U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Korean War.
Tony was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and James Verona, and his sisters, Angie Berardi, and Annie Steele. He is survived by his loving wife, Pauline Liscio Verone; two sons, Anthony L. Jr. and his wife Donna of Bayville, Phillip and his wife Patricia of Barnegat; two daughters, Deborah A. Gianatiempo of Toms River, Barbara and her husband Harold "Biff" Swenson of Bayville and two sisters, Stella Maltese of Perth Amboy, Antoinette Polito of Toms River. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Anthony, Frankie Rocco, Melissa, Lil' Deb, Biffy, P.J., Amanda, and Nicky G. and 4 great grandchildren, Dominick, Abby, Little Frankie and Bella.
Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM with a religious service at 8:30 PM at Carmona-Bolen Home For Funerals, 412 Main St. Toms River, N.J. 08753. Condolences can be sent to: www.carmonabolenfh.com

Uncle Tony, You are truely missed, I am sorry that you are not around to be the influence on Your godson the way you were on all us kids growing up. One day we will meet again, It brings comfort knowing you are with your mother, father, and siblings once again.

Tony, Happy Anniversary 57 YEARS and then some. i miss you very much and will love you forever and you are always in my thoughts day and night. I love you always Cookie!!!!!! In till i see you again.

Daddy, Well tomorrow would have been your ANNIVERSARY here on earth,but i have to know you are CELEBRATING in HEAVEN with the LORD. I will miss you so much knowing we would have spend your special day with You and MOMMY. You where such a big part of my life and i was so Blessed to spend so much time with you Daddy , you truly live in my heart and i hope and pray I can be the example to my kids , and impact there life the way you have done for me. It was such a pleasure to work with Mr. Verone at the V.A. in Brick. He was such a pistol :) Loved his style and each Fedora hat he'd have on during appts. God bless his family and closest freinds.
