I've gotten to know Sister Barbara when I used to work at dominician sisters in the dining room. She would always ask me everytime I had to work "is there any cherry ice cream" and I would give that to her.She was a nice lady,I'm soo glad I've gotten to know her.

Sister Barbara,
What a wonderful person to have known. She was tenacious, heartwarming, resolute, funny and always down to earth.
Four foot nothing yet an indomitable power house of energy and presence.
Sister Barbara was greatly admired and respected by both by colleagues and students for her fairness, humor and dedication to education.
As willing to laugh at herself and joke with others, she had a great sense of humor.
It would be impossible to have spent any time in her presence and not have a story or endearing remembrance of Sister Barbara.

Her zest and love of life for all she did touched the hearts and minds of all she met.

God speed…

Sister Barbara's energy, compassion, enthusiasm, and empathy have been an inspiration to me since I was a student at Saint Joseph's more than 35 years ago. She instilled in me a lifelong love of biology and nature.

Sister Barbara was a teacher, friend, role model. My hope is that I will be able to inspire others as she has inspired me.

I have such fond memories of Sister Barbara and her biology classes. She was a kind person who made learning fun. Many years after graduating, she still remembered your name. Godspeed Sister Barbara, you will be missed.
