AGE: 93 • Neptune
Benjamin Famiglietti, 93, of Neptune, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Benjamin was born in Jersey City on October 12, 1922. He was the youngest of seven children. A proud veteran, Benjamin entered the US Army on Nov. 14, 1942 and fought with the 79th Infantry Division in Europe during World War II. After returning home from the war he married the love of his life, his one and only, Ellen Calabria, a marriage that lasted 69 years. Benjamin worked for the Colgate Palmolive Company for 35 years until his retirement in 1985.
He is survived by his devoted wife Ellen, his children John Famiglietti and Rosemary D'Angelo, his daughter-in-law Pamela, his son-in-law Mario, five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
At the family's request the services and entombment are private. A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a later date. Donations in Benjamin's memory can be made to Meridian Health Foundation, 1345 Campus Parkway Suite A2, Neptune, NJ 07753 who provided excellent care and comfort to Benjamin and his family.
