Brian O'Neill Obituary

Brian T. O'Neill

AGE: 61 • Jackson

Brian passed away on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, after a brave and heroic battle with cancer. Born in Belleville, he lived his childhood in Iselin before moving to Jackson in 1963.

Brian was predeceased by his loving mother, Joan O'Neill; and brothers, Dennis and Patrick. He is survived by brothers, Thomas and Timothy; and sisters, Nancy, Maureen, and Jennifer. We will always remember him as a charming and handsome man, with his piercing blue eyes and long curly hair, driving around in his silver Camaro, listening to Led Zeppelin.

I didn't forget that it was Brian's birthday on July 30, it just took me a couple of days to put into words the loss I feel knowing that he is really gone. I think sometimes that he will walk into where I work with his beer cozy and that big smile he always had for me. I miss him and always will. And I could never forget Denny's birthday because my son was born on the same day. R.I.P. Brian, Denny and Pat, you are all truly missed and still on the minds of many.

July 31, 2012

It's funny that I thought about Brian's birthday today as I flipped my desk calendar. I forgot it was Denny's yesterday, both were great friends to Bill McGeachen and myself. I believe they are truly missed by everyone who knew them.

Yesterday would have been Denny's Birthday and today would have been yours Brian ...How I wish both of you were here with me ..I miss both of you so much till we meet again Love,Nancy oxox

It took a while for this to set in & for me to gather my thoughts on what I wanted to say. Brian meant so much to me as did all of the O'Neills especially Pat. I always thought of everyone as the older brothers & sisters that I never had. Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for all of the family especially for Robin, Risa, Shea & Ryan. I always enjoyed watching football games w/ Pat, Timmy & Brian at the O'Neill house. As we drove by it not long ago, my mother said "It somehow doesn't seem right that for the first time in Harfield history there is not an O'Neill living there." I couldn't have said it better myself. Harfield will NEVER be the same. I always enjoyed hangin w/ Brian & did my best to see that I'd do ANYTHING I could to provide at least a little comfort in his last days. Some would say that he's not suffering anymore, which of course is a good feeling, but it does not make the sorrow any less painful. Rest in Peace my brother & say hi to Pat, Denny & your mom. Your friend & brother Chuck.

My BIG Brother Brian, Its been a month since I last seen you. I miss you so much you ment the world to Sheena and I. You put up such a fight something I am so proud of you for,But God called you hometo be with Mommy.
I rember the dream you had some time last summer.some thing you never remembered till that dream. You told me you were 7 years old and all the neighbors were so happy that the O'Neills bad a baby girl and you were so jealous of me, untill they put me in your arms and you fell in love with your little sister. That love never stoped! ...Till we meet again I think of you every day,I love you so very much...Your little sister, Nancy xoxoxoxo
