Caitlin Masterson Obituary
Middletown - Caitlin Kennedy Masterson, 34, of Middletown, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on November 18, 2018 at Riverview Medical Center Red Bank. She was born in Toms River, NJ and lived in Red Bank and Middletown for the last several years. She graduated from Pemberton High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Catholic University. She went on to receive her Master's Degree in Psychology from Rutgers University. Caitlin worked as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for CPC specializing in drug and alcohol counseling. She touched many lives and will be greatly missed. She loved the beach, hiking, and being outdoors. She also loved to read, sing, and knit.
Cait especially adored her beloved cats.
Surviving are her devoted husband, Kyle Masterson; parents, Candace and Tony Hess, and Cindy and Tony Costello; step-sister, Lisa Mcloughlin.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018 from 4-7 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Rd., Middletown.
In respect of Caitlin's wishes, colorful attire is requested, please no black.

We worked side by side as drug counselors for many years, both before and after cancer came back. In reality, you ran circles around me the whole time, the first of many reasons I found myself in awe of you (being able to bench press 185 lbs was also very impressive). I promise to do my best to honor your spirit by striving to be the social worker our clients deserve, donating to causes for more research on metastatic cancer, and being the best cat mom I can be.
