Charlotte Barone

AGE: 76 • Toms River

Charlotte Barone, 76, of Toms River, passed away at Community Medical Center, Toms River, on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014. Born in Newark, she was formerly of Union Beach before moving to Toms River in 1963. She worked for Ft. Monmouth as a supervisor for the classified mail for over 25 years before retiring in 1988.

Charlotte was predeceased by her 1st husband, Mario DePedro; her 2nd husband, James Barone and her sister, Rosario Domingo. Surviving is her sister, Agnes Quidachay, Manahawkin; her children, Mario and his wife Wendy DePedro, Belmar; Elena and her husband Felix Lugo, Toms River & Charlotte and her husband David Diaz, Bayville; her step children, James Barone, Gilbert, AZ; Michael Barone, California; Pam Barone, Minnesota & Stefanie McNicholas, Seaside; her grandchildren, Edwin, Antonio, Marie, Chelsea, Stephen, Mario, Tiffany, Haley, Michael, David, Jennifer, Ryan & Kyle & 6 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 at the Family Owned Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 412 Main St., Toms River. Funeral service will be on Monday at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at St. Josephs Cemetery, Toms River. Condolences can be sent to: carmonabolenfh.com

Dear Mario, Lena and Charlotte,

I was sad to hear the news of your mom's passing. I will always remember how much fun it was visiting your family when we were kids. Your mom made us feel welcomed and special during those day trips - with plenty of food and goodies for all. She wanted everyone to be happy & comfortable...and we were. The last time I saw her was when we traveled to the Philippines in '09 with my mom and my brother Jim. One morning before breakfast, the housemaid asked us if we would like some eggs. "No, I'm good", Charlotte said "...but why don't you sit down and I'll make YOU some eggs." We all laughed. Your mom had a heart of gold and was such a good friend to my mother throughout her life. She will be missed.

May God be with you and may the memories of your beautiful mother comfort you during the difficult days ahead.

My sympathies to the the Quidachay and Domingo families also.
