AGE: 80 • Jackson
Daniel John Regan 80 of Jackson died Monday February 27, 2012 at home after a long illness. He worked as a Marketing Manager for NJ Bell for 40 years before retiring in 1990.
He was raised in Newark and moved to Jackson in 1963. He graduated from St Benedict's Prep in Newark in 1949. He served in the Army from 1951-1954 as a First LT during the Korean War. He graduated from Officers Candidate School in Ft Sill, OK in 1952. He was an Aide-De-Comp for General Hobart Hewitt and was present at the United Nations Command Military Armistice Commission 1953-54, which ended the Korean War. He was a cub master for Pack #28 in 1966 and then Advisor for Troop #82 in St Aloysius Church, before holding a Council Seat for the Ocean County Boy Scouts of America. Surviving is his wife of 55 years, Barbara A Maines Regan, 3 sons, Daniel Jr, Mark and Christopher, 2 daughters, Patricia Bianchini and Margaret Regan-Levine, brother, George and 7 grandchildren. Visitation is Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM with 8 PM service at Oliverie Funeral Home 2925 Ridgeway Rd Manchester. Cremation is private.
