AGE: 57 • Brick
Eileen McVeigh, 57, of Brick, passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, with her family by her side. She was a devoted mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.
Predeceased by her son, Joseph "13" Byrne, she is survived by her children, Donna Mann, James Byrnes, Carolea Block, Robert McVeigh, and Denise Arendt; sister, Angela Amelung; brother, Mike Cloonan (My Hero) and several nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
Relatives and friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at Weatherhead Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road, Brick.

Grandma, words cannot express enough feeling of how I miss you. Its hard dealing with my grandma and also best friend in this world with me, I know your with me in spirit, but I really needed to write this to you. I love you and one day we will see eachother on the other side. Rest in paradise my best friend.

I MISS TALKING WITH YOU and only just now found out why...I had know idea that you had to ENDURE kemo therapy ALL LAST SUMMER. I THANK MY LORD AND SAVIOR THAT YOU YOUR PAIN AND. Words cannot describe what I'm feeling right now...THE LOVE AND GENERISITY YOU GAVE TO ME IS NOT. COMPARABLE TO ANYONE ELSE'S I HAVE MET ALONG LIFE'S JOURNEY...I had no idea of that you had to endure kemo therapy all last summer until Carolea just now told me. I MISS TALKING WITH YOU and FEEL GREAT SADNESS. I HAVE TO SAY THOUGH THAT YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE DIED IN YOUR HOME AMOUNG FAMILY MEMBERS WHO LOVE YOU.

My heart weighs very heavy with the loss of my friend Eileen. I've watched your children grow, we shared "many" a laugh and tears. May your family find comfort in knowing that you are no longer in pain. And that when you reach the other side Joey will be there to keep you quite busy.
