MURPHY DALY
AGE: 93 BAYONNE
Elizabeth Ann Murphy Daly, mother of 18, passed away peacefully Monday, Aug. 3, 2009, at the age of 93 in Cusack Care Center at St. Joseph's Home for the Blind, Jersey City. Born June 26, 1916 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Anna (Mulvaney) and Thomas Murphy, she lived in Jersey City for 46 years before moving to Bayonne 30 years ago. She was a member of the Rosary Society at St. Patrick's Church, the U.S. Navy Mothers, the Women's Auxiliary Loyal Order of the Moose and the American Legion Post 388, all in Jersey City.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph; adored and devoted mother of Veronica Ruddy, Francis, John, Donald (Retired Director of Custody Hudson County Corrections Dept. of Juvenile Detention), Patrick, Lawrence (Retired FDJC) and his wife Helen, Roseanne Ranski, Richard, Elizabeth Rudolph and her husband William, James (Deputy Chief Hudson County Corrections Dept. of Juvenile Detention) and his wife Carol, David, Patricia Bartucci and her husband John (Chief Hudson County Sheriff's Dept.), Michael and his wife Debra, and the late Joan Long, Joseph "Buddy", Raymond, Robert and Baby Thomas and her late sons-in-law, Norman Long, Terrence Ruddy, and Gregory Ranski. She is also survived by her special nephew, Robert Murphy; many grand, great-grand and great-great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 5 and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6 at Greenville Memorial Home, 374 Danforth Ave., Jersey City. A Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 7 at St. Patrick's Church, Jersey City. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
