Evelyn Matouk Obituary
AGE: 92 • Point Pleasant Beach
Left us on Sunday, May 14, 2017 to be with the Lord.
Evelyn was born in Newark to the late Edward and Elsie Hartdorn and lived in various parts of the country while being educated and serving the Lord. She and her husband, Rev. James Matouk worked as child evangelist directors and retired in Point Pleasant Beach.
Evelyn was fortunate to have spent the last thirty-two years at the Jersey Shore, enjoying life with her late husband, family, and many friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. James Matouk; sister, Anne and Rev. Leo Insigna; and nephews, Gary and Glen Hartdorn. Surviving are her brother, George Hartdorn and wife Jean; nephews, Trace and Pauline Hartdorn, David and Laura Hartdorn; niece-in-law, Ruta Sleptys; great-nephews, David and Angelina Hartdorn, Quinn Hartdorn, and Joseph Hartdorn; great-nieces, Carly Hartdorn and Heather Hartdorn; great-great nephew, Dominic Hartdorn; and great-great nieces, Fiona Hartdorn and Emma Jean Hartdorn.
Visitation will be from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., Thursday, May 18 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road, where at 10:30 a.m. a service will be held. Interment will follow at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
