Frank DeCapua Obituary
Neptune - Frank "Steve" DeCapua , 95, a lifelong resident of Neptune, and a winter resident of Naples, FL, passed away peacefully at Manor by the Sea in Ocean Grove, NJ on Monday, January 14th. Frank was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Asbury Park. For many years he was an usher at 9:00 mass and also volunteered at Friday night bingo. Frank was a veteran of WWII and served in the 82 Airborne in Europe. Upon his retirement as a route salesman for Consolidated Laundry he worked part-time at Gourmet Kitchen in Neptune and wintered for 29 years in Naples FL. Frank was an avid Yankee fan who enjoyed a life of tennis, walking, storytelling and a glass or "two" of bourbon with his many friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years Celeste Maccanico and parents Frank and Lena DeCapua. He will be dearly missed by his daughter Lee Ann and son-in-law Sean F Duffy, several cousins and many friends in New Jersey and Florida. A memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, January 22nd at 11:00 at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Roman Catholic Church Donations in Frank's memory may be made to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1212 1st Ave, Asbury Park, NJ. 07712. The Ocean Grove Memorial Home is in charge of arrangements.
