I worked with George at MetLife for about a year, and in that short time I grew to understand what a great guy he was. He was always ready to help someone smile when they needed it, something he did for me many times. My heart goes out to the Lenardo Family, George's spirit and memory will live on forever.

George had a very special and unique relationship with everyone he knew. He took the time to connect with people in such an individual and personal way. He was the greatest of men because he was able to help others feel good about themselves.

George....a big man, with even a bigger heart. I will never forget the good times and I will always appreciate his warmth and kindness.

It was about a year ago when George made a copy of a beautiful poem for me when I suddently lost a family member.

George went out of his way to make a laminated color copy of it, and I have kept it on my desk since that time. George also has a copy on his desk, so I wanted to share it with you...

To the Living I am gone,
To the Sorrowful, I will never return,
To the angry I was cheated.
But to the happy, I am at peace.
And to the faithful, I have never left.
I cannot speak, but I can listen.
I cannot be seen, but I can be heard,
So as you stand upon a shore,
gazing at a beautiful sea,
Remember Me....
Remember Me in your heart, in your thoughts,
and the memories of the times we loved,
the memories of the time we shared.
For if you always think of Me,
I will have never gone.

George was truly a terrific guy. One of the few folks who always had a smile and a great attitude. He had an outstanding sense of humor and always made everyone smile. Its very rare to meet someone like George who made you feel good and it was an honor to know him. I'll miss him a lot and will always remember his good nature and warmth. After you're gone, its not what you earned or bought that people will remember, its how you made them feel and George will be remembered by everyone as someone who made them feel happy and alive. I'll miss you George.
