Helen Pashinsky Obituary
Toms River - Helen Gergowitz Pashinsky, of Lake Ridge section of Toms River, died Monday, October 15, 2018. Born in Clifton, she had lived most of her life in Clifton and Wayne before moving to Toms River 23 years ago. She was a secretary for Felsway Corporation in Totowa for 15 years before retiring in 1980. She was also the owner of T Bowl Delicatessen in Wayne and Lou's Deli in Rutherford. She was a member of the Lake Ridge Women's Club and the Wayne Elks Ladies Auxiliary. Helen enjoyed playing cards, polka dancing, polka music, traveling, and spending time with family. She was predeceased by her parents, Walter & Eva Gergowitz; son, Walter Pashinsky; and granddaughters, Ashley Lynne & Catherine Lynne Rubira. She is survived by her son, Robert Pashinsky; daughters and sons in law: Nancy & Jeffrey Menzies, and Karen & Scott Stevens; grandchildren: Kelly & Ryan Stevens, and Nadine Fechter & husband, Brad; and her soulmate, best friend, & companion for 28 years, Vincent J. Pestkowski. Visitation is Thursday 4-8 pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Rd, Manchester. Funeral Liturgy is Friday, 10:30 am at St. Luke's Church, Toms River, with entombment to follow at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
