James Demicco

AGE: 85 • Freehold

James Demicco, age 85, of Freehold, NJ passed away on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Brookside Assisted Living in Freehold, NJ. James was born in Brooklyn, NY, had lived in Eatontown, NJ before settling in Freehold 3 years ago. James proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War as a Sergeant and received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal twice. James worked as a draftsman for Earle Naval base in Eatontown for many years before retiring.

James was predeceased by his parents, Pasquale DeMicco and Victoria Varetoni. He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Celia DeMicco and Vicky and Jerry Kaufman; his son, Pat DeMicco; and by his grandson, Zachary Aguirre.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his visitation on Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 2-4 PM & 6-8 PM at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. His Funeral Ceremony with military honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Honey Locust Drive, Lakewood Twp., NJ.
