Jo-Ann Marie (Bigg) Price

Jackson Twp. - JO-ANN MARIE (BIGG) PRICE, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Jersey City, NJ and resided in Bayonne, NJ prior to moving to Jackson Twp. in 1997.

In her early years, Jo-Ann attended St. Aloysius Grammar School and Lincoln High School in Jersey City. She went on to attend St. Francis School of Nursing, Jersey City, graduating in 1974.

Jo-Ann worked at St. Francis Hospital, Jersey City until 1996. Upon moving to Jackson Twp. she worked at CentraState Medical Center in Freehold Twp. She left CentraState to teach nursing at the L.P.N. program at Ocean County Vocational School in Toms River, NJ, eventually becoming a principal, prior to retiring in 2018.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond F. Price, Jr.; her loving daughter Lauren Kaczka and her husband, Kevin; her granddaughters, Chloe and Brooke, who were the absolute delight of her life; her siblings, Robert Bigg Sr. and his wife, Pat of Winter Haven, FL, Agnes Pagel, of Brick Twp., NJ, Michele McIntyre and her husband, John of Waretown, NJ, and Joseph Bigg and his wife, Angela of Nutley, NY; her one niece and 6 nephews; and by her father in law, Raymond F. Price Sr., who thought of her more as a daughter than a daughter in law.

Jo-Ann joins in eternal rest with her parents, Robert and Josephine Bigg, and her sweet niece, Bridget.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson Twp., NJ. A funeral gathering will be offered at 8:45 AM on Thursday, April 29, 2021, at The Funeral Home, followed by her Funeral Liturgy at 10 AM, at the Church of St. Monica, 679 W. Veterans Hwy., Jackson Twp., NJ. A private cremation will follow. CDC attendance guidelines will be followed and face masks are required for all services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jo-Ann's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942, and would be greatly appreciated.
