AGE: 90 • Beach Haven Park
John C. Cafiero, age 90, of Beach Haven Park, Long Beach Township, passed away on Saturday January 17, 2015. John was born in Brooklyn, NY and had lived in Bloomfield and then retiring to Beach Haven Park in 1991, where he had been a summer resident for many years. John was the owner and operator of Coronation Sheet Metal Company of Union for many years. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Vera, three sons Stephen and his wife Anne, John, Joseph and his wife Catherine, two daughters Stephanie and her husband Robert Pizzulo and Dianne and her husband Patrick Scioscia. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
A viewing will be held on Monday January 26, 2015, from 2-4 &7-9 pm and on Tuesday from 9:30 - 10:00 am at Bugbee-Riggs Funeral Home, 1119 Long Beach Blvd, corner of 12th Street, Ship Bottom. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 am at St. Francis of Assisi, 4700 Long Beach Blvd, Brant Beach, NJ 08008. Interment will be at 1:00 pm at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., North Hanover Township, NJ.

Uncle Johnny had such a keen sense of humor and a way of seeing the irony in the little things in life. He and my dad became very close during the last decade of their lives. Rest in Peace, Uncle Johnny.

We are so sorry for the loss of your husband, father and pappy.
We will always remember Mr. Cafiero as an active, accomplished man with so many varied interests. We have a wonderful reminder of his kindness, love and generosity in the beautiful rocking horses he crafted for our children when they were born. I can still hear Uncle Johnny's happy voice saying "Hiya Jan!" when he'd stop by Grandma's for lunch in the early 50's when she babysat me. He will live on in our hearts.
