John Guinee Obituary

John Joseph Guinee

AGE: 76 • Manasquan

John Joseph Guinee, 76 of Manasquan (formerly of Long Beach, NY) died on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Jersey Shore Medical Center. He was born in New York City and lived on Long Island, residing last in his beloved Long Beach, before relocating to Manasquan. John was proud to be a steamfitter and a member of Local 638. He was the quintessential "fitter's fitter." He worked in many buildings in New York City including the former Trade Center. As much as he loved his work, he was equally known for his enjoyment of good times. One could always count on John's humor and good will. He loved the beach, traveling, all things sports, especially the New York Giants, and just sitting on his front porch with his dog Heine and the paper.

Loving father of Gail Fitzpatrick and her husband John of Manasquan, John Guinee of Dix Hills, NY, Brian Guinee and his wife Jeanine of Bohemia, NY and Marybeth Papaneri and her husband Mike of Youngsville, LA. Dear grandfather of Kevin, Dan, Kara, Brendan, Eamon, Annie, TJ, Gabby, Micky, Sara and Janelle.

We will miss Dad greatly but the importance of family he showed by his example will never be forgotten nor will his smile be when he was with his family.

A funeral mass will be offered, Saturday, June 1st, 10:30 AM at St. Catharine's Church, Spring Lake. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the City of Long Beach Relief, 1 Westchester St., Long Beach, NY 11561. Arrangements are entrusted to Jersey Shore Cremation Service, Manasquan.
