John E. Kirkpatrick

Keyport/formerly Matawan, - John E. Kirkpatrick, age 75, of Keyport, NJ formerly of Matawan, NJ peacefully passed away at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, December 29, 2018. He was born in South Amboy, NJ to Wallace and Mary (Ghear) Kirkpatrick on July 1, 1943. John lived in Keyport for 53 years with his family, and he was a truck driver for Bilkays Express upon his retirement. When he had spare time, he loved to go fishing and crabbing.

John was predeceased by his parents, and siblings. He is survived by his beloved wife Veronica (Jameson) Kirkpatrick of Keyport, NJ; his four adoring children: Charles N. Kirkpatrick; John E. Kirkpatrick and his wife Donna; Robert W. Kirkpatrick; and Kelly Kirkpatrick; he also leaves behind his two cherished grandchildren: Brian Taylor and Kaitlyn Ann Kirkpatrick. John will be fondly remembered, and always in our hearts.

In respect of Mr. Kirkpatrick's wishes, he was privately cremated. Day Funeral Home of Keyport was entrusted with the arrangements. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday January 12, 2019 10am at St. Joseph's RCC. To leave a message of sympathy, please visit, www.dayfuneralhome.com
