John A. Woodworth, 75, of Neptune passed away on February 10, 2017 at Neptune Rehabilitation and Care Center. John was born in Archbald, Pennsylvania on July 5, 1941 to Charles and Elizabeth Woodworth and raised in Newark, NJ with his 8 other siblings. He had resided most of his life in the Asbury Park area before spending the last few years in Neptune. He was a talented artist. He loved to create chalk drawings and enjoyed working as a florist, which highlighted his many creative talents.
Mr. Woodworth was predeceased by a sister and 3 brothers. He is survived by his siblings, Marlene Smedile, Ruth Barmwater and her husband Gil, Berton Woodworth and his wife Patricia and Roy Woodworth, along with many nieces and nephews.
A Viewing will be held on Monday, February 13th from 6-8 pm at the Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9, Forked River, NJ 08731. Burial will be private and held at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union.
