Josephine Rogers Obituary
AGE: 59 • Middletown
Josephine "Joni" Rogers, 59, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, May 24, 2014. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. She resided in Middletown most of her life however in addition to living in New Jersey she also had lived in Fairfax, Virginia for 5 years. She was the proud owner of Bliss Hair Salon in Lincroft for the past 10 years. She was an amazing woman who touched so many lives. She will always be remembered by her generous and compassionate heart. Her greatest joy in life was her children and grandchildren. She will always live on in them and in the many wonderful memories she created in her life.
She is survived by her parents, Sebastian "Bill" and Susan (Esposito) DiBenedetto; her children and their spouses: son, Michael J. Rogers and his wife Cheryl, daughter, Lauren Ralph and her husband Eric, and her 5 grandchildren: Joseph, Julia and Jude Rogers, and Ethan and Everett Ralph, all of Middletown; her brother, Philip DiBenedetto and his wife Cathy of SI, NY and her nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank, NJ 07701 on Thursday, May 29, 2014 from 5-9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, May 30, 2014 at 9:15am at St. Catharine's RC Church in Holmdel with burial to follow at Fair View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the St Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38148-0142. Visit Joni's memorial website at www.johnedayfuneralhome.com

Please accept my condolences. Our Joni was a dear friend of mine. I was able to talk with her a few times in April and May on the phone. I will miss Brooklyn Joni.
