Ocean Township - Josephine Percello Talerico, age 93 of Ocean Township, died peacefully at home on Monday, January 7, 2019. Mrs. Talerico was born and raised in Neptune and moved to Ocean Twp. in 1958.

Josephine married Phillip Talerico in 1948. Both Josephine and Phillip were remarkably talented cooks, who loved spoiling their children and grandchildren with spectacular Italian meals. They enjoyed sunny days at the Jersey shore, and late nights at the Atlantic City casinos.

Josephine will be remembered by those closest to her for her contagious laughter, deep appreciation for a good glass of red wine, and limitless love for her family and friends.

Josephine is preceded in death by her loving husband Phillip who passed away in 2002 and whom she will be entombed next to at Woodbine Mausoleum.

Josephine is survived by her three children: Terry Scatuorchio (and her husband Jimmy), Pam Kruman, and Amedeo Talerico (and his wife Karen); four grandchildren: Courtney Sullivan (and her husband Bryan), Nicole Kruman, Kevin Scatuorchio (and his wife Meghan), and Joseph Kruman; and six great-grandchildren: Jordyn Sullivan, Riley Sullivan, Taylor Sullivan, Harley Sullivan, Leighton Scatuorchio, and Olivia Scatuorchio.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 12:30pm at St. Michael's Church, 800 Ocean Ave., Long Branch. Entombment will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport.
