AGE: 93 • Point Pleasant Beach
Kathryn Alzamora (nee Mruczak), 93, of Point Pleasant Beach, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2015 at Laurelton Care Center, Brick, NJ. She was born in Perth Amboy, NJ, and lived in Kentucky, Peru and Pleasantville, NY before moving to Point Pleasant Beach in 1982. Kathryn was a parishioner and communicant of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption, Perth Amboy, NJ, as well as of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Point Pleasant Beach. A graduate of the Elizabeth School of Nursing, she worked as a registered nurse until her marriage.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Dr. Elio F. Alzamora in 2005. She is survived by her son, John of Point Pleasant Beach; her daughter Anita Watson and her husband, Rod of Mytholmroyd, England; her son, Charles and his wife, Rita of Lake Hiawatha; her daughter, Mary Moss and her husband, Robert, of Point Pleasant Beach; her son Eliot and his wife, Jenifer, of Brick; her sister, Dorothy Magyarits of Parlin, NJ; and seven grandchildren, Stephen Alzamora, Kathryn Gilligan, Carrie Troy, Amanda Alzamora, Dylan Moss, Madeline Alzamora and Evan Alzamora.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, November 11, 2015, from 5-8 p.m. at the Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home, 812 Arnold Ave., Point Pleasant Beach, NJ 08742. Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. at Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption, 684 Alta Vista Pl., Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Interment will follow in Assumption Ukrainian Cemetery, Florida Grove Rd., Perth Amboy, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions made in memory of Kathryn to the Jersey Shore Animal Center, www.jerseyshoreanimalcenter.org, would be greatly appreciated.
