Kenneth C. Palmer, 84 of Perth Amboy, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Haven Hospice @ JFK Medical Center, Edison with his family by his side.

Kenneth was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy. He served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army and achieved the rank of Corporal. He was employed by A & L Provisions, Perth Amboy as a truck driver and prior to that work as a general contractor for various construction companies throughout the Middlesex County area for 68 years. Kenneth was also the owner / operator, along with his wife Gloria of the Palmer House, Perth Amboy for many years. He retired in 1999. He was a parishioner of the Good Shepherd Parish at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents Clarence and Charlotte ( nee Glend ) Palmer.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years to Gloria ( nee Dankiw ); beloved father of Debra Palmer and her companion Carlos Serrano, David Palmer of Perth Amboy, Gary and his wife Debbi Palmer of Allentown, Pennslyvania and Kathy and her husband Rob Desmond of Hopelawn; adored grandfather of Kari, Matt, Ryan, Kristina, Rebecca, Jade, and Shanna; cherished great-grandfather of Matthew "MJ", Jacob & Wyatt.

We begin to leave on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at 9:15 am from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a funeral mass at 10 am at the Good Shepherd Parish at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hopelawn. Visiting is on Monday from 4-8 pm.
