Lester Boehm Obituary
AGE: 61 • Wall
Lester W. Boehm, 61, died peacefully, surrounded by the love of his wife and daughter after a 7 year battle with Melanoma cancer on Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 in the Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He bravely faced treatments and valiantly fought his disease for his wife, Susan and daughter, Ashley. Les was born to Charlie and Florence Boehm. He played many instruments and met his wife Susan playing the keyboard in the band, Hall of Fame, and later Rhythm of Life. Les had a long and successful career as a custom home builder, self-employed with F.T. Enterprises. In addition to his wife, Susan and daughter, Ashley, his other love was flying his R.C. airplanes and helicopters with his buddies from the field, Jersey Coast Sport Fliers and Wall RC Helis.
Les is survived by his devoted wife, Susan; daughter, Ashley; sister, Nancy and nephew, Marco.
Friends and family may gather Sunday, October 27th, 2013, 12pm - 4pm at O'Brien Funeral Home in Wall. Funeral Service to follow at 4pm at the funeral home. Donations may be made in his honor to The Danny Fund (https://curemelanoma.thankyou4caring.org/danny). This fund was created by the family of the late organ player from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street band and is dedicated to raising funds for melanoma research through MRA. My Dad and I knew Les and his dad back in the day and always thought they were great people. They worked with my Dad on many homes near Summit NJ. I wanted to remember Les as I last saw him at the field and that's the great memory I will always have with me.
Susan and Ashley you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

I was sad to hear about Lester but I'm thankful that he is at peace. Hanging out during high school and then technical school was just like American Graffiti. He was a very cool friend, a great musician, and when it was his turn to drive to school, cruising in his GTO was what I remember best. I miss those younger days and I will miss Les even more, but I will never forget him, that's for sure. I wish his family the best and am very sorry for your loss.

Susan and Ashley.. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that Les will be sorely missed. Les made me smile every time I saw him and brought out the best in many. Have comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering. If you need anything, we are right around the corner.
