LILLIAN J. CARSON
AGE: 84 LAKEWOOD
Lillian J. Carson, 84, passed away Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at St. Barnabas Hospice @ Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. She was born in Pittsburg, Pa. and resided in Lakewood. She was employed as the chief switchboard operator at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, retiring after many years of service. Lillian was a very private lady, determined and extremely independent.
She is predeceased by her former husband, Samuel B. Spagnoli; her parents, Samuel and Mary Carson; her brother, Thomas; and sisters;,Mary, Margaret and Eleanor. Surviving are her sons, Thomas C. Spagnoli and his wife Elba of Red Bank, and Daniel D. Spagnoli and his wife Maria of Galloway; her daughter, Susan Collins of Lincroft; and six grandchildren, Thomas A. Spagnoli and wife Robin of Matawan, Joseph S. Spagnoli and fiancé Bonnie of Brick, Shane and Ryan Collins of Lincroft, and Samuel and Giovanni Spagnoli of Galloway.
Visitation will be from 12 noon Wednesday, Jan. 13 until the funeral service at 1 p.m. at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. Entombment will be in Woodbine Cemetery, Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lillian's memory to a charity of your choice. Letters of condolence can be e-mailed to the funeral home's website www.sidun.com.
