Marie DiMarco Obituary
Middletown - Marie L. DiMarco, 99, of Middletown, NJ, passed away peacefully in her home on February 1, 2018. She was born in Elizabeth, and grew up in Newark, where she graduated from Central High School. She moved to Middletown with her husband in 1959. After raising her family, Marie went to work as a sales clerk for many years at Steinbach's in Red Bank, a job in which she thoroughly enjoyed. She also loved devoting countless hours volunteering for Deborah Hospital Foundation. Marie especially loved spending her winters in Florida with family and friends.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Geraldine and Blake of Holmdel; two sons, Anthony DiMarco of Atlantic Highlands and Louis DiMarco of Middletown. Also surviving are her siblings, Matilda Lombardo and Michael Yesenko, along with many nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Anthony DiMarco in 2009 and her siblings, Valentine and Joseph Yesenko.
She will be truly missed by all who knew her and remembered for her warmth, kindness, love of animals and wonderful sense of humor.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 9:15 am at the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:30 am at St. Mary's Chapel, 26 Leonardville Rd., Middletown. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
