Melvin Jacolow Obituary

Melvin F. Jacolow

Seattle, WA - Melvin F. Jacolow, passed away peacefully in Seattle, Washington, on December 26, 2017. He was lovingly attended by his daughter, Susan, as his soul set off for a long-awaited reunion with his sorely missed bride of 51 years, Marie.

Born on December 1, 1934, Mel's loving devotion to his children, grandchildren, friends, the English language, Brooklyn Bridge, Yankees, Giants, Knicks, Rangers, and Columbia University School of Journalism was well known and will continue to be a source of joy and inspiration to all those who knew and loved him.

His smiling presence and wit for so many happy years with friends and family on the beaches, boards, and roads of Spring Lake, NJ will be missed. He is survived by his two children, Susan Curhan, of Seattle, WA, and Steven Jacolow, of Tampa, FL, their spouses, Paul and Jodi, and three grandchildren.

Donations for those so inclined may be directed in his memory to the Ronald MacDonald Houses of Seattle and Tampa, a favorite charity of both Melvin and Marie.
