Michael Allingham Obituary
AGE: 18 • Holmdel
Michael Patrick Allingham, age 18, passed away in his home in Holmdel on the night of May 15, 2016.
From the time he could walk and talk, Mikey was a special young man with the biggest of hearts. He had an unwavering devotion to animals throughout his entire life, being a dedicated worker for Little Bit Farms in Howell and Camp Bow-Wow in Eatontown, volunteering through the Monmouth County SPCA and Action for Animals at CBA, committing to being a vegan, and being a pet owner himself with his dog, Buster, and his four bunnies. Aside from caring for animals, the remainder of Mikey's time was usually spent working on the yearbook where he was Editor-in-chief for the past 3 years at CBA, volunteering at the Red Bank Charter School, participating on the Varsity Mock Trial, or listening to his favorite artist and role model, Katy Perry. Mikey had a smile that lit up any room and such passion that anyone he met knew he would continue to change the world for the better.
Michael was a 2012 graduate of Oak Hill Academy in Lincroft, NJ and then went on to graduate in the Christian Brothers Academy class of 2016. He would have gone on to Loyola Marymount University to begin his first semester in the Fall of 2016.
He is survived by his loving parents, William and Andrea, older siblings - William and Lauren, grandparents, William and Patricia, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who has offered their love, support, and sympathies over the past week. Michael was laid to rest in a private family ceremony at Holmdel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Michael's memory to the Monmouth County SPCA, PO Box 93, 260 Wall St, Eatontown, NJ 07724 or online at www.monmouthcountyspca.org. This organization was very special to Michael.

Its been 4 years Michael... And I want you to know that you are thought of often and Action for Animals is still active and doing well at CBA. There is that heartache knowing that this Should be your college graduation time... But the Lord had other plans that we will only completely understand when we meet you again in heaven. Mike was, bar none, one of the nicest, most genuine boys I have ever met. We used to always get paired up for things in middle school because our last names were so close together, and while I never knew him well outside of that context, my heart breaks for him and his family. I spent time with Michael at Little Bit Ponies N More Farm, and while I didn't know him well, what I knew of him was his kindness, compassion and smile. He is a kind soul and I hope in heaven he can find his way to help Bonnie again and keep tending all the animals he loved so much.

I would like to extend my deepest sympathies. My son is a junior at CBA and I just saw the Yearbook that Michael lovingly put together. He did an amazing job. His letter at the back was so heartfelt and touching. May God hold you close at this difficult time❤

Dear family and friends of Mikey,
I'm devastated to hear the news about Mikey's passing. I am a katycat who knew about Mikey through Twitter. I didn't personally know him very well, but whenever I read his tweets I couldn't help but feel happy. He had a heart of gold and brought so much positivity into the fandom like no one has before. He was Katy's dog's stylist and I'll always remember how he called Katy Katheryn. He was honestly one of the sweetest people and I can't wrap my head around the fact that he's gone. He will never be forgotten and I am positive that he is looking down and watching over everyone. I'm praying for you guys everyday and hope you find peace. God bless you all.

Micheal was the sweetest person I have ever encountered, even without physically meeting him you could see his genuinity and positivity shine. He was always there for everyone and everyone adored him. I met his sweet soul through the KatyCat fandom. We shared so many memories together and I remember we came close because of his bunnies and my guinea pigs, he had such a love for animals it was truly amazing. Hello! My name is Jasmine, I wasn't friends with Michael ,but I knew of him. I saw him a couple of times on my timeline on Twitter. he spread so much positivity and I'm sure a lot can agree with me on that. I remember looking at his profile picture and saying: "wow I love his smile" He was apart of my family, the Katycats ,and his loss was tragic to us. Mikey was an amazing person. I never got to personally meet him, but I'm so grateful that I was able to talk to him. Positive all of the time, he radiated light, making those around him and those he talked to do nothing but smile. All of my prayers are with his close family and friends. I truly hope y'all find peace, but I understand this is a time for mourning. I pray that Mikey finds the happiness he most certainly deserved, and he reaches his desired nirvana. Katy Perry and his whole KatyCat family love him and will miss him dearly. Rest in paradise, Mikey; you're an angel with the most beautiful soul.

Evie from the UK - Michael was such an Inspiring person, a careing soul with only kindness heart. His videos would light up my day and his smile was so contagious; even through a screen.
I know others felt this way too, "#RIPKatyCatMikey" was the top trend in the US for over 10 hours and also trended in New Zealand, Australia and many nations throughout Europe. Michael impacted so many lives.
We will miss him.

My name is Gina and I'm from Germany. I am like your son a KatyCat and I was good friends with him through Twitter. I can tell - and I guess every KatyCat can agree- that Michael always brought positivity, light and joy into this fandom like no one else. He's known as Katy's dog stylist and never failed to make someone smile with his tweets, actions and pictures. He'll always be remembered as the nicest person people were able to meet. He was one of the few who never was involved into a drama or fight and always spread the positivity. Our fandom was always full of light when he was around. Michael will always be a part of our community and he'll never be forgotten in our fandom. We loved him a lot and people all over the globe are devastated of what has happened. We're still in shock and can't believe it. We start spreading positivity and memories about Michael on Twitter with the Hashtag #RIPKatyCatMikey. I'm pretty sure he's going to protect his family from up above, because he's the definition of love. You have my sympathy. My prayers go out to Michael's family and friends.
