She loved summers on Ortley Beach and camping in Bar Harbor, ME.

She was predeceased by her husband Charles Alan Grove. I was at the hospice memorial today in honor of my grandfather, my favorite person. His name was read and the next name read was Nancy Grove. I tried to find the family to share that she was my favorite teacher ever. I had her for fifth grade at Bayville. We corresponded through letters for many years. I visited her at the school occasionally through my college years. I have my report card to this day. She inspired my creativity, challenged me to work to my potential and nurtured me in the kindest ways. I am saddened to hear of her passing. She often talked about her children Kara and Eric while I was in her class and the. Later through letters. I can't hear a John Denver song without thinking of her. I still have a picture of her and I taken the last day of fifth grade. She in her natural, glorious beauty and me an awkward 5 th grade girl. I think of her often and will never forget her. I am happy to have shared a day of memory with your family knowing my favorite person, pop pop, and my favorite mentor, Mrs. Grove , may be sharing some time together in heaven. I hope your family finds joy and comfort knowing she made a young girl feel like she really mattered and inspired me to think outside of the box and to never sell myself short. God Bless Mrs. Grove and your family.

30 years ago and I can still remember what an awesome teach Mrs. Grove was. One of my favorites! Sad to hear of her passing.

I am so saddened to learn of Mrs. Grove's passing. Equally sad to learn that Mr. Grove lost his battle to cancer a few years ago. Kara was my best friend through elementary school. The Groves were a kind and loving family who gave me a home away from home even though we lived just across the street on Tudor Ave. I remember countless summer days on Ortley Beach with the Groves playing video games at Barnacle Bill's Arcade. Such great memories which I will always cherish. Miss you Kara - thinking of you and your family at this tough time.

We are heart broken of the news of Nancy Grove's death. She and Al were our neighbors in Pine Beach. Spent the summers on the beach where our children grew up loving swimming and diving off the raft. Our sympathies go out to the family. RiP Nancy.

Nancy's love of God and neighbor was truly reflected in the sharing of her life and resources. What a blessing she was to those whose paths she crossed.. Nancy was one of the most appreciative persons I've ever met, always expressing her gratitude and encouragement in her personable and most beautifully hand-written letters. .God's love found expression through her actions and, although she will be sadly missed by so many of us, I'm certain she was welcomed into heaven with a "Well done, my good and faithful disciple!"

I am sorry to learn of Mrs. Grove's passing, my condolences to your family. Mrs. Grove was one of the best teachers I ever had. She was an inspiration to all who had her - she taught us to be creative, to think outside the box, to love learning, and be kind. I attribute my love of reading to her, as she read to us everyday. From one of your first sixth graders, thank you. Godspeed. Leslie Mangold
