Neil Britton Obituary
NEIL BRITTON
AGE: 74 MIDDLETOWN
Neil Britton, 74, passed away Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010. He was a lifelong resident of Middletown, and worked for Ray's Sport Shop in North Plainfield for over 20 years. He also served our country in the Navy from 1956 to 1958 and was educated at the Peddie School in Hightstown and Monmouth College.
Neil is predeceased by his parents, Cornelius and Edith (Dennis) Britton; and his sister, Dail Britton. Surviving are his wife, Helga Britton; his son, Jeffery Britton of PA; his daughter and son- in-law, Lisa and Bruce Bisbee of Oakhurst; his daughter, Susan Britton of NC; his daughter, Melanie Hrbek of Middletown; his stepdaughter and son-in-law, Laurel and James Wolfrum of ME; his stepson and daughter-in-law, Bill and Heather Pomanowski of South Korea; and his sister, Lee Peter of Middletown.
The viewing will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9 at the John E. Day Funeral Home, 85 Riverside Ave., Red Bank. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 10 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 150 River Road, Red Bank, with interment to follow at Fair View Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Neil's memory to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, 150 River Road, Red Bank, NJ 07701.
