Neil Dowling Obituary
AGE: 45 • Wilmington, DE
Neil F. Dowling, 45, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at home with family members by his side. Born and raised in NJ, Neil was a graduate of Brookdale Community College with a BS in Computer Science. He was most recently employed by JP Morgan Chase & Co. and held various positions in Information Technology during his career. He was a loyal N.Y. Giant and Yankee fan and enjoyed music, movies and trivia games. Neil was a devoted son, brother and uncle and will be greatly missed. Neil is survived by his mother, Maureen J. Dowling of Avon, NJ; his sister, Delia and her husband Thomas M. Basil, Jr. of Galloway, NJ; his brothers, William R. of Ocean, NJ, Lawrence F. of Wilmington, De. and James E. and his wife Claudia of Keller, Tx. Neil is also survived by his beloved nephews, Reagan and Christian Basil; his nieces, Anna and Rose Dowling and Amanda Dowling. He was preceded in death by his loving father, William R. Dowling.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial in honor of Neil on Friday, March 25th from 11am to 12:30pm in Buckley Funeral Home, 509 Second Ave., Asbury Park, NJ. Interment to follow at Saint Catharine's Cemetery, Sea Girt, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations on Neil's behalf can be made to the Avon First Aid Squad in honor of the town he loved.
