Paul William Argiriou passed away peacefully on February 7, 2015 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. He was blessed with 90 years of vital and meaningful life, 61 of them shared with his beloved wife, Angela, who survives him. Paul's family was the focus of his life, and in addition to Angela, he was a loving father to Celia, Janine, and William Paul and wife Kathleen, and cherished his grandchildren Zoe, Paul William, and Catharine, all of whom survive him.

Born in New York City, Paul raised his family in Huntington, New York and retired with Angela first in Williamsburg, Virginia and later in Lakewood, New Jersey. Paul provided well for his family and was a respected and accomplished agent with Allstate Insurance Company for 40 years. In addition to loving his family, Paul loved his country and proudly defended it during WWII, landing in Normandy on D-Day and participating in all of the major battles in Europe. He received two Purple Hearts during his service and is a member of the VFW, the DAV, Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge, and the F&AM. In 2010, Paul was also awarded the Chevalier de la Légion D'Honneur by the French Government in gratitude for his service.

You may pay your respects to Paul on Wednesday between 2-4 and 7-9 at the Silverton Memorial Funeral Home, 2482 Church Road, Toms River. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at St. Barbara's Greek Orthodox Church, where Paul was a member. The service begins at 11:30, with an opportunity to pay your respects to Paul beginning at 11. Internment will be on February 17 at Brigadier Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
