Paul Kosmas, 92, of Oakhurst, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013. He was born in Manchester, NH and raised in Detroit, MI. In 1969, he moved his family to Oakhurst where he lived for the past 44 years. He was a member and steward of St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean Township, as well as a member of the Socialites at St. George. Paul served in the Army during WWII at the Battle of The Bulge and is a decorated Purple Heart recipient. While growing up in Detroit, Paul was involved in many sports. He became a Golden Gloves Champion and went on to coach Golden Gloves in the inner city of Detroit. He was a successful business owner in both Michigan and New Jersey.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. His wife, Vickie of 61 years, passed away in April of 2009. Surviving are his 2 children, Nick and his wife Deirdre Kosmas and Terry Kosmas; 3 grandsons, Jason, Christopher, and Zachary; 4 great-grandchildren, Lola, Ruby, Nico and Ivy; a brother, Chuck and his wife Pat; a sister, Florence; 3 sisters-in-law, Bess Peterson and Mary P. & Mary S. Kosmas, and many nieces and nephews and close friends

Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Fiore Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, Ocean Township. Burial will follow at St George Cemetery, Neptune.
