Paul Joseph Luttman

AGE: 58 • Richmond, IN

Paul Joseph Luttman, age 58, of Richmond, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015, at his home.

He was born on July 10, 1957, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to Robert W. Sr. and Patricia Cowan Luttman, and was raised in Spotswood, New Jersey where he was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Paul had made Richmond his home over the last six years. He was a 1975 graduate of South River High School in South River, New Jersey. Paul earned his undergraduate degree in business administration/urban affairs at Ramapo College in Mahwah, New Jersey, and received his master's degree in education with a focus in student personnel services/higher education administration from University of South Carolina. He was Director of Career Services at Ivy Tech Community College in Richmond. Paul loved working with students, helping them get the job they deserved. He enjoyed collaborating with his colleagues at Ivy Tech, fostering an educational climate that was rich with diverse ideas, people, and perspectives. Paul was a member of several national academic advisory, career coaching, and career counseling associations. He was also a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Richmond. Paul loved to bake and share with friends and family, particularly his Christmas cookies. He was an avid reader.

Survivors include his siblings, Robert (Darlene) Luttman of Dallas, Texas, Mary Jane (William) Skowronski of Jackson, New Jersey, Lorraine (Thomas) Grace of Green Brook, New Jersey, Kathleen (Thomas) Fetch of Florence, New Jersey, Thomas (Fran Spano) Luttman of East Brunswick, New Jersey, Patricia (Michael) Polchak of Whiting, New Jersey, and Joseph (Anne) Luttman of Old Bridge, New Jersey; nieces and nephews, Brian Dombrowski, Andrew Skowronski, Kelly (Steve) Borden, Gregory (Kate) Luttman, Michael, Lynn, and Scott Fetch, Kathleen, Jaclyn, and Thomas Grace, Jarek, Mikaela, Luke, and Carley Polchak, and Stephen (Samantha) Henits; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Patricia Cowan Luttman, who died in 2010 and Robert W. Luttman Sr., who died in 2013; niece and nephew, Thomas and Kathleen Fetch who died in 1982.

Visitation for Paul Joseph Luttman will be from 6 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2015, at Brunswick Memorial Funeral Home, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunskwick, New Jersey. Interment will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015, in Holy Cross Cemetery, 840 Cranbury South River Road, East Brunswick, New Jersey.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 800 North A Street, Richmond, IN 47374.

Cousins,

So sorry to hear of Paul's passing. Although I hadn't seen him in years, we kept in touch online. I have fond memories of Paul and all of you from the early days in New Jersey. You are all in our hearts and thoughts here in Colorado.
