This was a poignant way to remember how fragile life can be. To live each moment knowing tomorrow can change everything. I am praying for the family for peace. It's nice to recall my many wonderful phone calls with Phil.

I was shocked to hear of Phil's passing recently. My sympathies to his family. I worked with Phil at HRB and then we kept in touch after we both moved on. He was a true class act. A man with intelligence and integrity and a very loyal friend who was always willing to help. I was fortunate to know him.

Dear Yannah and The rest of Phil's family,
I just read about Phil's death in the U of Chicago Alum magazine. My husband was Phil's professor at Montclair State, at the Harvard summer program, and recommended him for the U of Chicago MBA program. He thought that Phil was extraordinarily intelligent and disciplined as well as being a kind and good man. Aryeh was very proud of him and happy for his love for life and for his wonderful family.
My condolences on your loss.

My heart goes out to the Mazzini family and I wish you great comfort in this time of loss.

I had the privilege to work with Phil at H&R Block and I can say with out question, he is one of the best leaders I have ever worked with in 26 years. He showed great empathy and compassion for his team and always did the right thing.

Phil was a breath of fresh air. I truly admired him and knew he cared for the people. He actully took the time to talk to and learn about employees and their lives. We have one thing in common that I will never forget, we both owned a Volkswagen Bug. He is cool in my book just for that. He was real and I will always appreciate and remember that.

I had the pleasure of working with Phil in both the field and at H&R Block World Headquarters, as we used to call it.

Phil was unfailingly kind and thoughtful. I learned a lot from him and will never forget how much he cared for you as a person, not just a colleague.

To Phil's family - I am sorry for your sudden and difficult loss. I met Phil in my capacity as an executive coach when he first joined Speedy Cash. Over the ensuing years I got to know him well and we shared many things. In particular, we talked about his love for, and commitment to his family. We ventured to talk about God and his belief in Him. I have no doubt Phil had a growing relationship with our Lord and is now is His loving care. I always felt Phil was the real deal. As solid a man as I have met. I send my prayers for healing for his family. May God bless you all and keep you in His hands, Kevin.
