RICHARD KROL
AGE: 81 BRIDGEWATER
Richard Krol, 81, Jan. 6, 1928 - July 18, 2009. Richard was born in Queens NY and resided in Floral Park Crest, Long Island for over 50 years before moving to Bridgewater NJ in 2007. He was a designer draftsman employed at Burns and Roe, Oradell NJ, for over 40 years and retired in 1988. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. Rick was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church, Somerville, and member of Bridgewater Senior Citizens. He was an avid bowler and painter, enjoyed bicycling, and was a gun collector enthusiast. Rick will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Surviving is his wife of over 60 years, Peggy Barrett, son Richard, daughters Kathy Krol, Dr. Kristine Krol and her husband Dr. Edward Buch, Linda Galonski and her husband Alan, and grandchildren Katie, Ryan, Kelly, Lauren, Justin, Michael, and Krista.
Prayers will be said at 9:30am Tuesday at the Bruce C. VanArsdale Funeral Home, 111 N. Gaston Ave, Somerville NJ (908) 725-3111 followed by a 10:30am mass of Christian burial at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will be at St. Bernard Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a charity of your choice.
